EX150 Hydraulic Pump

Recently an Hitachi EX150 hydraulic pump was sent to us for examination. It had been repaired previously by "John Doe" and was performing poorly. We opened the unit to find the cylinders , pistons, valve plates , shaft and servo pump badly damaged. We noticed that one of the cylinders and valve plates had been replaced and a new retainer plate with "some" of the retainer plate screws also replaced. The screws were of different lenght and tensile strenght (not good!). On further examination we found the culprit. Half of one of the original screws !!. This proved to be a very costly mistake as the pump required a complete rebuild and test. The biggest mistake was not clearing the system properly and not using all new correct screws on the retainer plate. Lesson?...

Here's one we repaired recently. Customer complained of noise and poor response from Bucket and one track. When we stripped the unit we found the retainer plate and pistons badly damaged. On closer inspection we found the Cylinder block had failed. Very unusual and sometimes hard to spot. This crack however was obvious . We rebuilt the unit and our customer is back earning money with his Case CX130 in the knowledge that his pump has been repaired and tested to OEM standard with genuine KPM components. For all your hydraulic requirements contact OMP Ltd where we are always happy to help.

Kawasaki M3X530 Motor repair

This motor was sent to us by one of our customers with overheating symptoms. When stripped down the motor showed signs of previous repair. The conclusion was that the bearing had suffered damage previously and was replaced without the shaft being replaced. The new bearing either split when being fitted or spun on the damaged shaft and consequently picked up and shattered damaging the piston group and seal carrier. We replaced the piston set, shaft bearings and seal carrier, all genuine KPM spare parts,  relapped the rotor and port plate,  to leave the motor ready for work again.

Hitachi repair & hydraulic service

Case study: Hitachi ZX130 (relevant to the  ZX120 model also) Customer Problem: issue with Hitachi ZX130   Recently a customer called us at OMP to say his ZX130 was very slow in all movements but with no sinister noises coming  from the hydraulic pump. Our service department advised him over the telephone to carry out a number of checks to his pump. He carried these out via instruction from our team and it was obvious then that the pump required further investigation. He removed the hydraulic pump from the machine and brought it into our workshop. OMP investigate The first step required our technicians to strip the pump. They found one of the swash supports damaged at the contact point with the servo control piston. On further investigation the servo piston...

Hydraulic Pump Testing

Our story so far.. After some careful consideration and an in-depth case study of the market profits and requirements here in Ireland, O’Meara Parts Ltd made the decision to raise the quality of pump repairs available. Our aim was to provide a service in line with the standards of our UK and European counterparts. Taking the view that the market, by default, would commence its recovery over the following five years, we made the decision to invest in a dynamic Hydraulic Pump Test Bench. This investment was substantial but given our standing in the market and our reputation as one of the foremost suppliers of mobile hydraulic pump spare parts and repairs in Ireland, we felt this to be a natural progression for O’ Meara Parts Ltd. We designated an area in...
